In Good Order was a wonderful find! What a tall task I gave Christie! Two siblings had moved in together in a small downtown condo. They needed help! It took years to confront my basement from hell and I realized I needed an organizer. I called several before getting the right vibe from Christie of “In Good Order”. I’d put things downstairs since we moved in, intending to get to them, before the job transfer came. I’m a nostalgic pack-rat, have a bad back, and my organizational attention span is roughly that of the common housefly.
Christie saw through this and she was excellent – completely neutral on my attachments and empathetic to my need to dispose of things to people who will treasure them as I would have. Christie came and helped me fix it.
She was easy to speak to, extremely hard working, and clear about what had to happen to meet my goals. I didn’t need to buy a new storage system, and about half her bill (which was bang-on what was expected) was off-set by income from the clutter that ended up being of value, once Christie pointed me toward who might buy it. Christie of In Good Order helped downsize my parents from a large home that they lived in for 40 years, to a condominium. She was friendly, patient and understanding with them. Christie did the physical work and helped my parents sort through the many items to decide what was for keeps, donation or garbage. A task my parents were not physically up to doing on their own.
She then, in a very organized manner, promptly removed the donation and garbage items from the house, and took them to their proper place.
She carefully packed and labelled the “keep” items for the move to the condominium. After the move, she unpacked the items and put them in their proper place, including organizing the storage area. The work was always done with a friendly smile and a professional demeanour. We were very pleased with Christie’s services. We would work with her again, and would highly recommend her.
