 When a client needs art rehung after a move, there is one tall man we like to call on – Ryan Barrett of ArtVerb. Referred to us by a client, Ryan is an artist himself and good to work with. He arrives in his uniform and bright green truck. He hangs art, from Group of Seven originals to posters, to maximum effect. And is a good listener. And tall. – Christie
A favorite of ours, and a great business idea from Dustin Kroft, Rent-a-Son provides hourly labour help for any manual labour job. They will come to your site for a minimum of four hours to do just about anything. They do not come with tools but will use yours. Over the years, we’ve had them do yard work, move furniture before a residential renovation, help with moving boxes, strip and stain outdoor furniture, hang pictures. You’re probably getting the idea. The sons are always courteous, hard working and on time. In August 2009, the entire In Good Order team pulled up its’ sleeves to purge and reorganize MDAO’s offices, library and boardroom, with help from our favourite movers, Des, Anthony and Raphael Whyte of RCW Moving & Storage. The MDAO is a social service agency providing education, support and information for people who suffer with mood disorders. Run by Karen Liberman, who along with her amazing staff, are dedicated to helping individuals and their families with care, compassion, respect and equity. As they say ‘talk to someone who’s been there’. And that’s exactly how we feel at In Good Order. - Christie  Philippa, Lisa & Heather unleashing their hormones!
Jake Leishman and his associates at EnviroShred have been helping us haul away paper clutter for shredding from our projects for years now. They will take paper as well as digital media (VHS tapes, floppies, dvds, etc.). Always courteous and punctual, they are a pleasure to do business with. – Christie
 Owner Susan in her wonderful store The store is now owned and operated by the charming and direct Susan. She can do anything with lighting …. she’s even made a lamp out of a ski boot! If you have foreign fixtures that need rewiring, or are looking for a great selection of shades and finials, or want to update the look of a beloved lamp, or want to turn just about anything into a lamp, this is your place! A brand new store has opened on Mount Pleasant Road with a brilliant business idea. They sell high-end draperies on consignment as well as carry new draperies in eco-friendly reused fabric! A wonderful and very attractive addition to the strip. Thank you to Martha for the impromptu invitation to our group of 30 organizers during our October 1st Social Event. – Christie
Darlene Levitz and her two business partners have a wonderful thing going on at ‘Of Things Past’. Very careful about what she accepts for consignment into her showroom, the merchandise is of top quality and in very high demand. If you see it, and like it, please buy it, as there is a very real chance that it will be gone by the time you go back for it. A great place to sell your unused items and to look for new things.
